The Altered Art Club

The "Altered Art Club" is a group of people who share the love of what traditionalists might call unconventional arts and crafts. There are no boundaries or limits to what you can create or use to create your art.

 

We meet at a private studio in Port Orange, Florida. We meet the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Contact us on how to join in the fun. There is no charge to join, attendance is not mandatory every month, and you do not even have to participate in the monthly projects or round robins. It's a time when we get together to show each other what we are currently working on and maybe get ideas or a new perspective on how to complete our project.

 

The group decides on the format we work on each month. The format may be an ATC or what we call large card with simple instructions of what is to be included like a piece of lace or a specific theme. We have also completed round robins with books and a 2-page spread, each participant choosing their own theme. Also, each month we pick a specific product or technique and have some fun time sharing our knowledge of the technique or the product with the group.
