The Altered Club
The "Altered Club" is a group of people who share the love of what traditionalists might call unconventional
arts and crafts. There are no boundaries or limits to what you can create or use to create your art.
Claire deMontigny is the owner of Stamp and Deliver, South Daytona, Florida. She has graciously opened up her store for
us to meet the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. There is no charge to join, attendance is not
mandatory every month, and you do not even have to participate in the monthly projects. It's a time when we get
together to show each other what we are currently working on and maybe get ideas or a new perspective on how to
complete our project. And, we have some who just come in and observe what everyone is doing.
Our group leader,
Mary Ann Sumner, who is an excellent altered art designer and teacher, decides on a group
"project" to work on
each month, and since everything can be altered we never know what it will be. It's usually something simple and
for those who choose to participate we usually trade our finished projects. Also, some months we have
demonstrations of different products and techniques.
Below are some projects I have recently designed and completed. I hope they inspire you to create your own works of art.
